Counterbalanced One of a Kind Front Wheel Carts

Front Wheel Carts

For the past couple of years Eddie has been building front wheel carts for dogs with missing front legs or front leg disabilities. Front wheel carts are far more challenging to use than rear wheel carts, and require tremendous commitment from the owner. In order to succeed, both dog and owner must be highly motivated, patient, and willing to work through the training process.

Lovey is a pug born with deformed front legs who has mastered her front wheel cart with the love and patience of her rescuer, Carolyn Sanislo, of Florida Boston Terrier Rescue.

"Lovey is doing really well now with her "wheels", and will literally run over anyone who gets in her way. If you know pugs, you know how highly food motivated they can be. I started using small bits of chicken held just in front of her to get her going. She has even started getting used to making turns, and can now even go in a straight line. The special 95% pure chondroitin I have her on twice a day keeps her supple, but this "physical therapy" with her wheels really seems to be helping her the most."

If you are interested in ordering a front wheel cart, please call us to discuss your dog's particular needs. If we decide that your dog is a good candidate for a front wheel cart, we will send a front wheel measurement chart form.
